According to BBC David Ornstein Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen. Not done but set to be decided today & expected 26-year-old will join #AFC - unclear which current GK would make way. Torreira pursuit ongoing - optimism but not done & #WorldCup delays
So is he the answer to our GK issues or just a cheap option as usual. I think we should have shown ambition and go for Allison. The Brazilian has everything required for top level GK he can distribute, pass and accurate at it. He also looks the business calm and all, but under Kroenke we always never seem to show ambition always on the cheap stakes we cannot even conclude the Torreira deal although he looks very small man.
Leno is he next Karius or Manuel Neuer

Add the Litchtsteiner to the least but I doubt we will get Soyuncu though.

Doesnt Leno have the most clean sheets in the bundesliga apart from Manual Neuer since 2015?

26, 6ft 2, Ability to come for crosses and still agile enough to block shots.
A big for me.

We might not even get Mexico. No guarantees they will get to the quarters. They’ve got out in the last 16 three times in a row. But if they do get there they’ll be a tough team. I wouldn’t fancy our defence coping with their counters.

I'm biased but I think we should have gone for Patricio (still can't believe Wolves got him). Either him or Muslera. Both peak age, tall guys with a wealth of international experience. Leno is a bit of an odd choice but time will tell whether he is the right one.
