Every 'permanent' Manager's reign

At our club has ultimately ended badly since Roman bought the club (in most cases under Batesy as well before somebody says).

Whilst the idea of a Chelsea man…………..Chelsea Legend, being Sarri’s number 2 is nice, I hope that when it does end it does not taint the little’ genius’s memories of the club.

Before somebody points out I should not pre-empt it’ll end badly. I can only really go on what has already happened.

Unless of course Zola was retained by the club after Sarri’s departure.

Even if we get relegated on his watch it won't even remotely taint his legacy to anyone who isn't an idiot.

Dalglish came back to Liverpool was out of his depth, took them to their worst finish for half a century and set them back years with his signings yet is still considered a bonafide hero up there.

McLeish won it the year before.

I really, really, REALLY can't see that happening.

Not only would Sarri have to get sacked, he'd have to get the job on interim and not only f*** it up, but constantly talk smack about the club and it's fans, and that's simply not gunna happen.

Even managing a PL rival off the back of leading us into a relegation battle, it took him talking s*** about the club and our manager for the fans to turn on Mourinho. Us Chelsea fans don't forget as much as our rivals like to think we do.

not sure i've explained myself well.

I don't want Zola's memories of Chelsea to be lessened as a result of what could/would most likely happen if he does join us as Sarri's number 2.

Can't see that happening either. Zola will know what he's signing up for.

Flash it probably will end badly if it happens I'm afraid. As Tom Cruise said once.....

"Jesus, everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn't end."

However, the good news is that in spite of that, the passage of time and people's memories normally cloud over the shii ite bits and only the glory is lastingly remembered.

Carlo Ancellotti for example was treated very badly IMO by the Club, but it is rumoured that him and Mr. A are good these days and it is also rumoured that he wouldn't be adverse to working for him again.

Ruud Gullit also finished acrimoniously with us but is still a big fan when he is punditing on us.

Vialli also came back recently to a rapturous welcome and walked around the pitch after a brutal sacking by Bates.

Di Matteo is also rumoured to still be a fan, and probably enjoys the unique part he played in our history.

So the good news mate is that there is always life after getting the Grand Order of the Boot!! Especially as you normally get a juicy pay off from us.

69er, Sky are saying Sarri's agent is in London and even though he was careful Zola is leaving his role in South Africa at this World Cup.
