Who comes in for (probably) injured Alli?

It may well be mind games, but it.is looking increasingly likely Dele Alli will miss Panama with his thigh injury.

The question is who comes in to replace him?

Ruben Loftus Cheek
This has the advantage of not changing things too much in terms of team shape, and the kid is certainly pushing after a good cameo against Tunisia. Dele is far more dangerous going forward than RLC though, with his off-the-ball movement creating space, and it may well make us a more functional side. Being an impact sub is different to starting a game.

Marcus Rashford
Rashford could come in and play alongside Kane, and Sterling could drop in to Alli's attacking midfield role. Young Marcus is another kid pushing for a start after an impressive game. Sterling may well have a better time of it with more of the pitch to attack, and we would certainly have the pace to stretch Panama.

If the game was against Belgium I would probably go with RLC, but I think the latter would be the better shout for this one. Sterling looking over his shoulder at Alli for Belgium.

Think it's interesting that as the days have passed, more and more pundits have began to agree with my opinion of the game the other night. I've been hung, drawn and quartered for suggesting we were awful apart from the first 20 minutes - but we were. Our midfield is not good enough and Young and Maguire are not good enough.

I’ve not seen anyone agree with that

We ALL knew that months ago but hey it's the best we have.

Well done Hugo Lloris. It's his 100th cap this evening.

I'd love us to try and sign Loftus Cheek. Unlikely I know, but he'd be quality in our team.

When was the last time we did business with Chelsea out of interest?
Was Mickey Hazard the last player transferred between the clubs perhaps.

I think RLC for Alli & Rashford for Sterling.

Helps keep the team dynamic.

Loftus Cheek all day

Rose for Young, Sterling to keep his place

This England side lacks goals, especially with Sterlings strike rate at international level.

I'd play Rashford, give him a bit of freedom and play Rose on the outside rather than Young who I thought was poor and a bit too wound up.

In my opinion, Cahill over Maguire; Rose instead of Young (what were you thinking?????); Loftus Cheek for Alli and Rashford for Sterling.

In fact, I would leave Loftus Cheek in the team and play Alli further up when he returns from injury. If you can create pockets of space for him, he's a better player and a dangerous player further up the field. Loftus Cheek look s good box to box and will end up being a very dynamic player.
