I was keen on Fabinho last summer but it was quite obvious Jose had no interest. Fabinhonwas whoring himself out to us saying it would be a dream to play at old Trafford but nothing ever came of it.

Don't understand why Utd fans get on their high horse because city came into money. The majority of Utd fans are glory hunters when it really comes down to it.

Probably because we have a bit of a rivalry thing going. Sort of like we do with Liverpool. Sort of similar to Spurs and Arsenal and Liverpool and Everton. Even Bristol City and Bristol Rovers.

You wouldn't get it because no one really cares about Chelsea. Not even Fulham.

He looks a good player who we actually needed (even if only at full back rather than midfield). Strange why we never went in for him when he was obviously available.

United announced earlier this month they had agreed a deal with Shakhtar, which Sky Sports News understands to be in the region of £52m plus bonuses, but had been waiting for Fred to be granted a work permit.

It is understood the bonuses could take the deal to around £61.2m - this would make him United's third most expensive signing of all time behind Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku.

Bit much for the Brazilian Joe Allen isn't it? i know hes just signed a new Stoke deal but surely could you have persuaded him to leave the Championship club and got a better player for below 10m.
