Is it just me

Or does there seem to be more diving than ever in this world cup, every time someone gets near a player they throw themselves to the ground as if hit by a sniper

I think foreigners have had to start diving to compete with the English. This very English disease that has plagued the prem for years now is spreading. The prem is shown all around the world though, so you can't stop foreigners from copying the English.

To quote the great Ruud Gullit 'Don't Hoover near your TV if Pepe is on or near the ball!'

YUP, I agree.

There seems to be a lot of exaggerating contact, particularly in the box as the players know there’s a very good chance it will be reviewed even if the ref’s not interested. Makes the non reviews on Kane seem a bit ‘odd’ though...

VAR is proving a complete farce, incidents that should be looked at are being ignored while other nothing incidents are being sent for review.

The bottom line with VAR is, there is still a blundering (and often biased) Buffoon in the video studio making poor decisions and giving certain players and teams the benefit of doubt over others, so it will only ever work for matters of fact like offside.

Kane gets rugby tackled twice in the box and nothing is done, what exactly were they watching?

Don't think they refer to VAR unless the Referee asks for it.

I'm a big fan of VAR but the unintended consequence is that players will flop and cry over incidents to try and trigger a VAR review.
