Sorry Ted but there wasn't even a Smart Car parked by Croatia last night. Argentina fielded 11 individuals against Croatia's team of 11. Argentina were poor first 45, terrible the second.

By their standards Argentina did not play well.
But, Yes, Croatia did park the bus.
Then, late on, they got very lucky when the Argentine GK made a total mess of a kick out and handed Croatia a goal. After that maybe they came out and played football. Argentina went for an equilizer and got suckered, that was their risk. Hence 0-3.
But yes, the Croatia strategy was "Park the Bus".

Nullifying an opponent by pressing them all over the pitch is not parking the bus. Iceland, known for their defensive tactics, "parked the bus" and against them Messi had 11 shots, against Croatia he had just the 1.

No. We dominated them all over the pitch and especially in the midfield with our superior play cutting off all channels to the dangerous front line of Argentina. Modric played higher than he does at club level. Had we gone out to park the bus the manager would have started Badelj instead of Rakitic

No team in their right mind is going to go all out attack from the first minute against Argentina's attack. We play proper football and in these big games it's a mental and physical battle to establish a foothold in the game, which we did absolutely brilliantly.

Actually fck it, the more people that think the way you do, the better, as we can fly under the radar deep into this competition
