So according to some sources, Liverpool are about to break the British transfer record and sign Marco Asensio.
Can any truth be made of this ?
If LFC pull this off it would be a major coup. Apparently as well, LFC are going to make a firm bid for Mario Goetze, with him wanting to sign for Liverpool, wow, just wow.
If this happens it would be a massive statement, perhaps that's why they decided not to go for Fekir after all.

Surely this is not true ?????

Well clearly Klopp thinks they need another, that's why they have been continuously linked with Shaqiri and were looking to complete the Fekir deal which fell through. I'd imagine Klopp is looking for the direct replacement for Coutinho. Asensio fits the bill imo.

Do Liverpool really need so many forwards? Asensio is an upgrade on Coutinho, if he lives up to his potential though.

We’ve only got three that we can rely on. Otherwise we are looking at a drop in quality to our backups or playing midfielders further forward. We need at least two more attacking players.

Utter garbage.
Not a chance we are spending that kind of money on a player. Goetze seems a more realistic shout though as wouldn't cost the earth.

Do we want a player that has “metabolic abormalities” or whatever term they used to describe him though?

The Madrid lad isn’t worth that type of money. Your taking about Salah, kane, Suarez type money there
Gotze in my opinion isn’t good enough for the prem and I mean, Wolves, Everton and other similar cannon fodder. The Germans are astute and the talk there is he won’t play for a decent side again in the Bundesliga ( that’s based on his ability / lack of it )
