Jorges Mendes Project 4.0

Another Gestifute client is rumoured to be coming Trent side...

Daniel Podence could be persuaded to join the Mendes project of getting his clients into the Premier League and onto the big valuations that come with it.

Now this Portugueezer is a different gravy, if we can get him it's fatasy time.

What a summer this is turning into!!

I think Rameses was wishing his comments had a ring of truth rather than knowing they were...☺️

You make my point Will. Boro were indeed promoted but playing some of the most boring defensively minded football ever witnessed in any English league.
Your new signings can't play that way, Your team last season couldn't play the tedious defensive football Karanka likes which is why Forest showed no sign of improvement.
So now you have a team from last year who can't play the tedious stuff added to by some exciting youngsters who can't play defence football, coached by a manager who has no clue how to get the most out of flair players.
He won't allow two or three lads running to go around where they like, they'll have to play to a rigid formation which will nullify any threat they may have.

I'm right on this. My advice is sack Karanka and get someone in with a bit of personality, then you may have something.

You clearly didn’t watch Forest under Karanka last season. And I wouldn’t expect you to. If you had you’d have seen Tomlin and Lolley in particular given freedom to attack and if anything we were more attacking than under Warburton. The issue was our defence continued to be terrible even with some quality midfielders protecting them. Also Karanka is in his 2nd managerial job so what the hell do you know about his ability to coach attacking players? About as much as Frank does about managing in the Championship I expect

Agree with Caniggia 100%

Another point on the Wolves project was this.

Managers vs Promtion chances:

• In the first year Wolves had two managers. Didn't get promoted.
• In the second year they had one new manager, got promoted.
• Karanka will have (hopefully) 1.5 seasons to do it. He also has previous experience on getting promoted.

Players v Promotion chancesNote* Squad building is still in progress)

• Wolves squad had two years to gel.
• Forest squad will have a year.

I'd say it gives us a great chance of a top half finish, a half decent chance of top 6 and an outside chance of Autos (all pending the continued acquisition of a similar calibre of players, that we've managed to attract so far).

Pantilimon, Byram, Fabio, Vukcevic, Tomlin and two or three strikers and you'd be mad, or a tad bitter / envious to think we'll end up mid-table.

Exciting times.

Looks like we have missed out on Marriott, he is rumoured to be off to Brizzie City after they sold Bobby Reid to Cardiff for 10m, wonder who AK will prioritise as a striker now ?

Supposedly gave up on him a few months ago as Peterborough wanted too much.

Grabban is supposedly first choice.

Exciting times to be a red.

I like how Rameses is trying to preach doom when it is their club who they should really be concerned about. FFP looming, a totally unproven manager who is not even linked to the club and the reality of having to sell their best players is not a scenario you want if you are look to build on the results you had last year.

He isn’t preaching, Super, he is praying.

Clutching at straws - yeah, right, we should sack our manager just when we're assembling a decent squad!
Pathetic ramblings from a bitter Ram (I have some sympathy - you've come close for a couple of years but bottled it, much as we did under BD).
