Also, really liked Morocco in 1998, a late pen for Norway knocked them out, they deserved to go through I feel.

Probably no one has still made a bigger impact than Cameroon in '90. Though I wasn't born at the time. Nigeria in '94 played better football than Cameroon did 4 years earlier, but their naivety cost them against Italy in extra time. In terms of squad quality, would have to be Cote D'Ivoire in the Drogba years, followed by Nigeria in '98, but both teams never lived up to the hype.

Their '98 squad was even better than in '94, supplemented with new players from the side that won the Olympics in '96. They were pretty cocky and complacent when they met Denmark in the 2nd round of France '98 and got ripped apart.

Yes, Nigeria were also really cocky vs Paraguay in the last group game in 1998. Should've done better that year, but I still couldn't see them getting past Brazil
