England poor........

.......it was only a friendly, but England were very poor........

Trent-not a dead ball taker-very very poor on free kicks
Rashford/vardy-a chance to press their case for a start-didn't impress
Deplh/cahill/jones-what on earth are they doing playing for England?
Lofty cheeky boy/maguire-i am afraid i don't see what the hype is all about

hope Southgate is not taken in with 2 wins against nobodies and realise how poor thing are.......and lets have some guts in midfield otherwise we will get run over on Tuesday.

this world cup is very open and a glorious opportunity that not come again in my lifetime

so lets do this

Delph had a good game. Did a lot more than pretty much every other player we picked, and was trying hard to link defence and attack, but difficult when most of your team seems disinterested.

Boggles me why players like Vardy and Rashford didn't grab the game by the scruff of he neck when that second striker role is very much up for grabs. Perfect opportunity to demonstrate why they should get it.

Rose was poor, which unfortunately means more Ashley Young.

No one had a good game. Not a game to judge players from. If it were, Rose and Dier should never grace an England shirt again.

Best to see this for what it was. Give players rest and others match fitness.

Rose was bad. He would bomb on, stop and turn back.

Young TAA had a mixed game, best player first half and his youth/inexperience showed second half.

Dier, very bad.

Jones, what is a jones?

Vardy and Rashford starved of decent service.

It was a glorified friendly. Thought Vardy was crap as I expected him to be. The defence looked scared to bring the ball out of defence.

Rose did well, Trent looked alright. I don’t see what the fuss is about Loftus-Cheek though, he’s 22 so it’s not as if he’s some young emerging talent, like Tielemans for example.

Poor miss from Rashford, one that Sterling would get pelters for.

This was very much like a league cup game in terms of selection. There are players there that may have performed better had they played with the core of England’s first team, especially given the tactics were different and some of their club team mates were rested. Hard to really draw any conclusions about their suitability for the England starting 11. Especially when there are question marks around some of the first 11.

Poor match all in all. Southgate made too many changes for me.

Totally agree. I advocated 3-4 changes, with Kane starting while he’s in scoring form. Rose, Dier, Trent and possibly Rashford in.

England remind me so much of Spurs in that the first 11 will give anybody a game but the b listers are nowhere near good enough.

Don't really see what any of the back three done wrong yesterday. Chances at a premium and a moment of magic from januzaj where rose was at fault.

Dier and Delph were the problems yesterday, slow, cumbersome, lack of intent, lack of invention, leaving a gulf in the center. RLC tried but his end product was poor.

Rose was hopeless. Good job we have Ashley Young in the squad.

Rose was better than young other than the goal.

I think two belgium players got booked with rose skinning them on the outside
