Dumcan Castle claims we have agreed terms with the player, suggesting a deal is close.
Anyone know how reliable Duncan is and if so, What do we think of the potential signing of Sandro?

Has Tierney done anything outside of Scotland through?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good for the national team and in European competition. Who cares about this ‘outside x country boollox’ You can tell if a player is good enough, and he certainly is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From what I’ve seen he looks the part. It’s like when people used to belittle Henrik Larsson, saying he played in a pub league - what a player he was!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And Liam Miller
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I only ever saw Miller in a couple of Champions League highlights on TV, but he didn’t really stand out (although he did score in one, I think).
Anyone can succeed or fail at a new club, regardless of where they’ve played. I thought Veron was going to be a United legend based on what I’d seen from him at Lazio and for Argentina.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not disagreeing. Simply saying a player proven at a higher level SHOULD adapt better

Yes, but then you have two very different league playing styles, so theoretically the Scottish league will be closer style wise than the Italian league would be. As I said, no guarantees either way.

I'd go tierney as well. Younger and likely better value for money. Only watched him a fee times but he looks to have really quality

Hmmm. Plenty of players have looked good and then failed elsewhere though dude. At least Sandro has done it at Juve and in the Champs league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sometimes you have to look at the talent and not the level.
Take KDB, it was clear as day he was something special if you seen him as much as once for Genk, likewise Bale for Saints. Not saying Tierney is a similar class and can't comment either way as never seen him but if he's is a top player in waiting the SPL won't disguise that.

If their talent was so obvious how come they ended up at Spurs and Wolfsburg ?

Sandro is a decent player, more attacking, so the issues would be how well he defends. Juventus do play an extra CB, so he would have to not just adjust to a new league, country, team mates but also to Jose's system.

Would rather sign Tierney all day long than Sandro.

There are so many variables. Another is character: determination to succeed and improve, ability to shine, and not wilt, under the spotlight of MUFC (which so many players have described as being nothing like what they had experienced at previous big clubs). How the player's specific attributes meet the tactical needs of the manager and team dynamic.
I just hope the club is doing its homework wisely and diligently.
