Lee Grant is a keeper with a great pedigree and Sheffield Wednesday would never have sold him when we did in 2010 if the club hadn't been in such dire financial straits.

Between July and November of that year the club faced a series of winding up orders for unpaid tax and VAT bills, with the club's existence under severe threat and Lee Grant was the only player we had that was worth anything so he was sold to pay the tax-man

He'll always be one of my favourite ever players and Manchester United are gaining a fantastic keeper - whether or not he gets any game time.

Pereira may get his chance as number 2 if he impresses on loan though and returns, Romero may move on after 2 or 3 full seasons as number 2 who knows.

But if Pereira really is a top keeper will he want to be number 2?

Maybe not, but being number 2 to the best GK in the world for a few years at his age would be good for him surely? Romero got plenty of games too in the cups.
