World Cup is still on. Therefore transfers can be difficult to complete until players are back home.
But we are still in this really odd limbo.
It has been the worst kept secret in football that we would have a new manager this season, since about February of this year. And that worst kept secret was overtaken by the one that Sarri would be the successor.
Yet here we are, 5 days into July, with some teams having started pre-season with non World Cup players. And we still haven’t had any clarity over the manager situation.
We know better than most how difficult De Laurentis is to deal with. But the club aren’t blameless in this whole mess. He is their manager. They deserve to be compensated for us wanting to take him. He had a clear €7m but out, that if paid, would have brought a simple amicable end to this.
In my opinion, the clubs handling of the could have a negative affect on our season. Whoever the manager will be, they are already on the back foot. In terms of training, transfers, settling in. It may only be a marginal loss, but that can be the difference in this league.

I'm a bit of a harsh critic of the board but I have a bit of sympathy with them over the Sarri thing.
If it were me I'd be reluctant to pay any money to Napoli, for a man they've essentially already sacked and replaced with another manager.
Talk about having your cake and eat it!
Having said that, I've never understood that saying anyway - every cake I've ever had, I've promptly eaten!!

True. ADL is a nightmare but at some point you've just got to get on with it. If we delay it past Monday I honestly dread to think of what next season will be like

I find it hard to believe what they're doing is legal. They've dispensed with his services and preventing him from taking employment from elsewhere.
Imagine if we appoint Sarri but don't sack Conte, then demand compensation from another club who want him - it's a ridiculous situation.

What's stupid is he'll be gone by Christmas at this rate anyway, I mean.. is he really that good? What difference is he going to make with this team?
I can't see him improving Morata or Bakayoko as they're so off the pace it's better to just cash in..
Hazard will stay imo
Higuain is not the answer but I'd rather have him that Morata and it's not my money so meh

Feels like last season’s summer window doesn’t it..gonna end in a flurry of panic buys in the last two weeks. Having said that it doesn’t help we don’t know who the manager is at all, no idea what formation and system we’ll be playing next season
