FIFA

If FIFA want to be taken seriously about doing things for the good of the game they need to do something about players surrounding referees after, it seems, every decision that doesn't go their way.

IMO, they should also be using VAR to ban players who fake injury to try to get other players sent off. The other day it was Neymar, today it was Mbappe.

Mbappe caused a five minute delay in the game for being hit in the head viciously by a base ball bat.

I’m sure it’s been suggested countless times but you’d think doing it the way Rugby does where only the captains can talk would make a big difference. If you talk to the ref and you ain’t the captain, straight yellow.

If the players crowd the ref then why doesn't the ref allow the team with the free kick to take it quickly (after VAR has checked there's nothing else in it). If a team had six players out of the game because they are moaning and concede a goal becauae of it I'm sure it would soon stop!

United were buggers for hounding the ref when Roy Keane was captain.

The dirtiest team these islands have ever seen, Revie’s Leeds, used to do it tactically. If someone was on a yellow and made a bad tackle the whole team would jostle the ref so someone else got booked and they’d dodge a sending off.

Back to the OP.

Definitely something that needs sorted. Especially with the South Americans.

It should start with yellow cards to every player that crowd around the referee. It should only be the captain and the player who committed the offence who should speak to the referee.

Penalising feigning injury. Yellow card to a player who gets up immediately after rolling around like Neymar does.
