I think Croatia will eventually win, after a struggle. If you get through the semi, then either France or Belgium will give you a right spanking.

Seriously worried about the midfield. Henderson has been great but he won't be able to cope on his own in there against Modric and Rakitic.

Either Alli is going to have to drop deeper and be much more disciplined otherwise Dier may have to come in for Lingard.

No, they have two centrebacks and Lovren is one of them

He is the biggest player in the Croatia side.

He will be tasked with marking one of England's many aerial threats 100%.

So yes, I am very much looming forward to that. I saw what he is capable of when judging the flight of a ball at Wembley

I just don't think Croatia look quite as good as in groups.

It will be a huge effort for them to turn around again.



But most of all the way they defended setpiece last night suggests to me england can score off them.

Redvalk, I've tried to be as sick as a parrot, oh, God, how I've tried. But every time England hit the back of the net I'm on my feet screaming my heart out for joy.

Biased, I accept, but I'm disappointed that Trent hasn't been given his chance. Trippier is playing out of his skin, I never thought the boy had it, but he has. Hendo has been immense.

Yesterday? I think Croatia ran themselves into the deck. As you rightly say, their midfield is of a higher class. Anyone who doesn't appreciate Modric cant understand football.

Wednesday? A hard call, very hard. England are playing well, they play as a team like never before, and I think that's got to be down to their manager.

Let's look forward to the next two games.
