The 32 yr old Road racer was killed today in racing practice at Skerries, in Eire.
Saw him race recently and was looking forward to seeing him in July at Armoy, near his home town area.
Michael is now the last of the Dunlop road racing dynasty, with Joey Dunlop leaving us in 2000 and Robert Dunlop passing at the NW200 in 2008.
I was very close to the bikes in May this year at the North West, and the balls these guys have doing 200 mph on everyday roads is worth seeing live.
They say bikes and racing are in the blood, and my late father passed that to me, just as Joey and Robert passed the bug to their sons.
Rest in peace William🙏
RIP William Dunlop

He was Robert Dunlop's (Joey's brother, who also passed away after an accident whilst racing) son.

Yes, he's Joey's nephew. I don't know that much about road racing but think he was pretty successful in his own right too. In the blood

The poor Dunlop family have been through so much. But the racing is in their blood and I still think Michael will continue to race. It's like an addiction

Was he the late, great Joey 'Yer Maun' Dunlop,King of the Isle of Man TT's son?
Tragic news anyway,R.IP. but you know the old biker mantra...
Ride hard,die fast.
