Vydra staying

Caught up with this on social media and noticed none of you had posted on it, so I thought I would help you out

So Leeds are cooling interest in your main man after is wage demands got hiked up, 30k a week is not enough for him apparently

So you happy to have him back? Or would you want to get him moved on elsewhere ASAP?

RD reported this am that Leeds manager had sanctioned the deal. He was also linked with a move to China. Clearly just interested in the $$$$

I hope Martin's diet is going well, it's nicer to eat salad in the hot weather, although it does make you want several beers.

Just as worrying is that we've not heard anything at all on some of the deadwood we do need to shift, we've still got the likes of Butterfield on our books without a single mention of him going elsewhere. He already burned all his bridges here with comments made to the press when going out on loan, so I would have thought there would at least be agent talk linking him we places, trying to build up a bit of hype, but I guess the lack of it tells you all you need to know.

Vydra staying would be problematic from a financial point of view, and means Lampard won't really be able to stamp his mark on the team. In the delay a lot of other teams have already snapped up the more interesting players, while we seem to be relying on pushing this through. We seem behind, although the cynical side of me wonders if Leeds know that and are stalling it on purpose or had no real interest in the first place. The advantage of Vydra staying is that a more settled team has already gelled and likely to give Lampard an easier start, although the aforementioned returning loanees might unsettle things a bit.

I was thinking of Vydra when I was watching Hazard last night. If Hazard who is a number 10 for Chelsea can play left wing, why can't Vydra? I think Lampard will play a 4-3-3 so if he doesn't go to dirty Leeds he will have to alter his game. He's got plenty of pace so why can't he play on the wing?

P.S. Wasn't that Lukaku useless last night, he did nothing in the whole game while Giroud worked his socks off. Lukaku is a flat track bully and will never be top class.

I'd have him at Derby though.

Lukaku has how many goals this world cup..? how does that compare to Giroud's tally of, ooh, now, let me see... NONE.

Giroud is the white Raheem Sterling.

All this younger talent being brought into the England side and where's young Will... Ibiza? Benidorm? I know where he isn't, and that's 'the England squad'.

England don't have the attacking nous to hurt France, but France could wreak some damage on our back three... Mbappe could go past Walker at will.

I'll be glad when this nonsense is over and we can get the proper football started.

Vydra likes the ball played in front of him not to feet. When he receives the ball to feet he always does a first time pass which isn't usually very accurate, OK for in the tightly packed area just outside the penalty area but not where there is more space on the flanks. On the wing you have to be able to control the long passes, it is very fortunate if you can run on to them.

Anecdotally 666, I believe it was the 2006 world cup summer after England had been knocked out, Stewart Downing rocked up at the hotel me and my friends were staying at in Ibiza. The Geordie guy in the room next to us wasted no time in giving him some bantz.
