These are my ratings based on how i saw things.
Star man: Pickford.
Dud: Sterling
Pickford- 8/10. Great tournament for someone so young and inexperienced. Englands number one for the next decade.
Trippier- 8/10. Has had a great tournament. Grew with each game and always provided balance and options from the right. Needs to ensure he learns from last nights mistake.
Walker- 7/10. Generally played really well and made many covering runs with his pace. But he's not a centre half for me and should be at RWB. Made costly mistakes and gave away goals (Tunisa pen and last night).
Stones- 7/10 Again, surprised me with his growth in this tournament. Fell asleep for the winner last night but actually has been really good in this tournament.
McQuire- 7/10. Big plus and surprise of the tournament. Great fight, spirit and a constant threat from set pieces. Started nervously but grew with each game.
Young- 6/10. Played ok and provided some fantastic dead balls. But caused an inbalance and was the weak link for us. Time to retire.
Henderson- 6/10. Actually surprised me in this tournament. Not his fan and i wouldnt pick him but he contributed in every game. A little unfair on him to leave him 2 on 1 in yesterday's game.
Alli- 5/10 2nd worst player for us this tournament. Basically anonymous and showed he isnt at the level required. If due to injury then he shouldnt have been playing. Very big disappointment.
Lingard- 6/10. Played better than most could have predicted and is a good team player. But his lack of quality showed many times. Good squad player
Sterling- 4/10. By far the worst player for us this tournament. Zero contribution. Running creating space provided nothing. We didnt score from any of his runs. Clueless and greedy. He was so out of sorts I actually felt sorry for him. We played with 10 men most matches.
Kane- 7/10. Took his penalties under pressure really well. Overall play was poor barring the Columbia game. But not all his fault. Our weak midfield forced him to come deep where he was ineffective. Still, chance for the golden boot.
Rashford- 5/10
Dier- 6/10
Loftus-Cheek- 5t10
Rose- 6/10
Vardy- 5/10
Delph- 5/10
Southgate- 7/10. Showed some tactical naivety and lack of big match experience but restored some much needed pride and joy in the nation. Pure class and expect him to have a good long run as manager.
Overall, England 7/10. Surpassed any expectations

He’s stuck in a loop of idiocy now and can’t back out of it.

How long did it take you to spell check that sentence?

Since you’re casting unfounded statements willy-nilly: I’d like to congratulate you on your promotion to Caretaker of your local primary school. Have a celebratory pint on me.
Well done.

How angry are you? It’s Friday afternoon - chillax!
What’s “yeh”? Is that the same as “yes”?
“Try speak ENGLISH”. Is that the same as “Try to speak English”?
Do you write your own material?

What a shame. Another one from the estate who didn't go to school?

What did you do to him, loz? Why is he so angry?

Fook knows, I thought it was you who set him off to be honest I was late to the party.🤔

Although you do see his type get angry when asked a question, had some bothersome types get very angry recently when a question is asked.
I have an angry fan club of offended types.
It’s hillarious 😂

The fact that you think it's just about pace only makes my point clearer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m sure you’ll be able to play that card until eternity: criticise Sterling and you’re an Ingerlund bonehead with no understanding of the beautiful game. Easy.
I thought he did OK against Sweden, except that miss, and actually wouldn’t have taken him off against Croatia. But what you’re selling is some kind of weird pseudo intellectualism. He didn’t do enough, across the tournament, in the role he was given. Nothing to do with Henderson, whom I thought struggled against Colombia and was way too quick with the long ball against Croatia. Sterling’s pace was his main asset, whether I’m English, Italian or Brazilian. When decisions had to be made, he tended to make the wrong ones.
Not as bad as people have said, but one of England’s three worst players, I’d say. Henderson, for all his limitations, was top four or five. Generally did what he was there to do.

Stones wasn't at fault for the goal Maguire was
whenever Sterling went off in games England became a far worse team
Kane is going to win the golden boot ffs, he's been injured since the Colombia game
Alli was Englands worst player, the fact Southgate still had him on the pitch after 120 mins was embarrassing
first time you guys came up against a half decent team you looked very ordinary
still a decent achievement to get to the semi's in what's been a high on drama world cup but a very very low quality one
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with all of this
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not sure it’s been “a very very low quality” tournament at all. It’s been markedly better than the last two World Cups, I’d say. But international football is way behind top club football, which I suppose makes sense, given the money involved at club level and the amount of time club teams get to train together.
Games like Spain-Portugal, France-Argentina, Uruguay-Portugal and Brazil-Belgium were not low on quality, from what I remember.
