Leicester City have turned to Torino's 28-year-old Spanish winger Iago Falque - who used to play for Tottenham - in their search for a new winger after the departure Algeria international Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City.
the Foxes have reportedly opened talks with Juventus over the possibility of signing midfielder Stefano Sturaro on a permanent deal this summer, in a deal which would require Leicester to part with up to £20m.
Rumour time, the world cup is finished

I always liked the look of him at Spurs, but it was based on reserve games so you couldn't really tell how good he actually was.

@ 28yrs he's a bit older than most the squad
But may do a job for a couple of season's
One of the few we have been linked with since mahrez went that I like the look off

I wouldn't be surprised if England in particular put out a reserve team in the third place playoff match, or maybe some sort of half-and-half team. Whether Belgium care about it or not, I don't think the English public do. Which is their choice, really.

It's the most pointless match in football, quite right people don't care about it.

Agree the match is pointless.
But I’d rather win it than lose it. Just like I would a friendly.
Won’t bother watching though, have more important things to do.

Anyone remember when the F A Cup had third place playoff. Any idea when it was scrapped?

Falque and the Juve bloke have both been mentioned in the Mercs Leicestershire Live.
Mind you if Leicester signed everybody the Merc speculates, we'd have signed 51 players by now.
And the mercury pays somebody to write it
As for the 3rd/ 4th place match, pretty sure the players would sooner be ' back home' now

Bowstring
I think we played Burnley as a pre season friendly in 1974.
and I can't remember us playing QPR in 1982 ( not in a 3rd 4th place fa cup playoff)

OOops sorry West Brom, not QPR

More interested in who we lose, whose head has been turned while away with a group from other 'bigger' Clubs?

Still Legless, you are right.
We played Burnley pre season in front of 4400 hardy souls and lost 1 O. It was the last playoff in the FA Cup.
