His England performances were akin to some of his Spurs performances this season, particularly in the second half of the season. He was dropping deep for Spurs too and not having enough of an influence in and around the box.

Must have known the ball wasn’t getting to the box unless it was a set piece. 10 shots on target from 7 games excluding set pieces for the entire squad is absolutely appalling.

The England players that performed really well were Pickford, Trippier, Maguire, possibly Henderson, you could maybe slip in Lingard but again when it mattered he didnt produce.

He was awful bar scoring one goal, but then Dele Alli scored a goal as well.

Lack of creativity was there for all to see. Southgate did not help matters in that department.

Harry Kane scored more goals six, than the entire England team did in the two previous world cups, 2010 and 2014, where they scored just five.

I love the hate for the world`s best striker.

We are NOT toothless without him. Do I have to repeat we scored well in his absence through injury towards the end of last season?

Kane was the reason England went out. He had Sterling waiting or an easy finish but hits it at keeper and has another easy chance and allows keeper to save it. I thought it was nearly guaranteed first chance and second chance virtually impossible not to score but he managed to let keeper save it, Also had a free header at end. I am sure people will remember that chance and think if he scored that England could have won the World Cup.
