Was in the dining room eating dinner (homemade chicken curry) and had Sky Sports News on in the living room. Not really listening to it though and then something catches my ear
“Breaking News from the Premier League. Brendan Rodgers has left..."
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
Oh my God who is he going to? Why? Oh fvck we’ve a Champs League qualifier in 2 days.
This is horrendous
“...Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers is no longer the manager of Liverpool"
BASTARDOS playing a flashback
And relax. He is still manager of Celtic. Double Treble Manager. Invincibles Manager. Going for 10 In A Row

Hate to think what you pay for a pint in London these days. Don't know how folk can afford to live there. Used to live in Sarf London many moons ago. Can't remember the price of a pint back then

to be honest if you go off the track its not that bad
Obviously Covent Garden and the city its crazy prices.
We drank recently in Clapham and also Kennington and it was about 3 quid a pint.
A bit more in the trendy joints
Not being trendy I tended to avoid (or they wouldn't let me in)...

That's more than reasonable. Quite surprised me actually. Obviously need to know where to go.
Used to drink in the early 90's in Catford, Lewisham, Greenwich & Thornton Heath. Remember going to an Aussie/Kiwi place near Kings Cross called 'Church' on a Sunday morning/lunchtime with very reasonable prices and great "entertainment"
Doubt it's still going.

Certainly at Clapham their is a Wetherspoons dive
So while you never venture in the effect is everything near by needs to compete.
Kennington is a local yocal place so the pubs cater for them
Except when a test match is on.
This is my theory anyway

Izzy,
After years of resolute determination, even Catford is becoming gentrified/hipstered. I was shocked to the bone when the auld dear asked me last week if I wanted to go to the Catford vegan festival.

All I can say is Fvck sake. Back in the 90's you could not get a more down at heel part of London than the SE6/SE13 postcode. Rough as fvck.
Be interesting to see it now actually.
