Breaking Bad 10 years on

*** spoilers for who haven't watched it yet ***

For most of you Breaking Bad started 10 years ago and ended 5 years ago.

I only binge watched it a few months back for the first time. Since then I have also read up on the show's legacy and why it was so successful. During the last season, I could only watch one episode at a time at some point, because of the impact they had on me.

I can say that I have never seen better TV ever in my life. I still need to see Mad Men, The Sopranos and GoT though. The way the characters behaved it was hard to decide if I liked them or hated them. I always wanted Walter to succeed and Hank to fail, which was weird, but during the last season, that changed. I really started to dislike Heisenberg for what he had become and the gunning down of Hank is not what he deserved either. I don't think I ever recall being thrown around emotionally back and forth, from watching a TV show. I think the acting of all main characters was just off the chart. The first few episodes did indeed have me thinking that it was a dark humor show, but that quickly changed and got damn serious.

I had high hopes for House of Cards and Homeland, but House of Cards at some point was just plain stupid (Season 4 and 5) and incredibly far fetched, and Homeland, started off good, but don't get me started on the CIA employing a borderline agent and keeping her employed after having several severe meltdowns and at some point even promoting her.

Anyway, BB is now considered to be one of the best TV shows ever made, together with Mad Men, GoT and The Sopranos.

Breaking Bad

What do you guys think? Best show ever?

Factual and historical?

An alien is about all it could add to depart any further from real history than it has already.

Now in their 13th season of a show called Ancient Aliens

Best bit is they managed to find a narrator called Robert Clotworthy. Bet Weare laps it up.

"Smithsonian.com science writer Brian Switek was extremely critical of the series, particularly an episode that suggested "aliens exterminated dinosaurs to make way for our species." He characterized the show as "some of the most noxious sludge in television’s bottomless chum bucket." Switek wrote that the show employs the Gish gallop technique to overwhelm the viewer with many "fictions and distortions""
