Not sure if this has been posted, but by all accounts Axel has been smashing it in pre-season so far.
He's been ahead of all our other players and has managed to break an official Guinness World Record for good measure.
After putting in the hard graft and many hours of practice he managed a world record time of 17.36 seconds to complete a game of Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Will this level of performance win Jose over enough to give him some game time this season ahead of the likes of Smalling/Jones/Rojo?

Shaw is looking pretty lean now, still doesn't help his positioning though.

Made me chuckle. Very good Mike.

Hard to read that much from pre season games but hopefully a player can show enough in training to make Jose think about them as a possible first team option. As well as getting players up to fitness hopefully this tour can give some of the younger lads a chance, with so many first teamers likely to miss the start of the season it could be a great opportunity.
I'm guessing we'll also aim to start the season with Sanchez as our main striker and Martial on the left, great opportunity for those to take their chance too.

I read the WR part, that happened yesterday. I was talking generally about players having the opportunity to get into the starting XI like Axel can, as well as others.
