Expectations rising.

There is no doubt Fosun have been as good as their word, and are looking to do more than make up the numbers in the Prem.

As a club we really do seem to have taken things to a new level, and it is hard to find fault with anything that is happening, The manager, players, top signings, attitude and professionalism is plain to see.

But as exciting as it all is, some fans seem to be getting a little carried away, I never thought we would be in a relegation scrap, but many fans are saying we are ready to challenge the top six.

Not saying it is not a possibility, but feet on the ground people, I'm sure we can look forward to an entertaining season, but lets not get too ahead of ourselves.

The club will be targeting a top ten finish for sure and I see no reason why we can't get top seven if crap like Burnley can.

Wolfie (although the big dog around ‘ere’ ) is talking bollax !

I know for a fact that everything SM and JM did for the club was in the best interests of the club, every decision was scrutinised and methodically chosen or declined. I’m not saying he got everything right, but without their due diligence, Fosun may have looked elsewhere.

From memory, I think the new north bank was £16 Mil Tino

It doesn't matter if it's millionaires or billionaires. It's what they actually spend and how they spend it.

I don't see how, if we spent more money on decent players to keep us up, the inevitable would have happened. Most of the problem was the manager at the time, not getting the right players in to keep us up.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and we have been lucky to have attracted Fosun and also Mendes.

Sunshine, your thinking is typical of most supporters.

You argue that instead of building a new stand, we should have used that money to cement our place in the Prem.

Now you are arguing it isn't really about money but how it is spent, which to me is far more on point.

Morgan spent wisely, never overspending while trying to grow the infrastructure to hopefully support a long term challenge.

Fosun have not only got a financial advantage, but have the contacts that give them an edge, not just over what Morgan could do, but the rest of the Prem.

There are no guarantees, but all the boxes are ticked to make an impact on the Prem, without Morgans work attracting Fosun would most likely never have happened.

So if an owner has a thousand times more money it doesn’t give him an advantage in the transfer market? If that’s not bollax I don’t know what is. Is there no recognition that the reason Nuno, Neves, Boly, Jota, Moutinho, Patricio, Castro, Jimenez are here is because this club has more spending power than any championship or newly promoted Premier League club has ever had before?

Exactly Deej

16-20m on the north bank would have been spent better on players. I kinda agree but that would have got us 2 players in the 7m bracket

Morgan had his flaws but I think he did as good a job as anyone could have

The north bank was funded by a short term bank loan, not SM himself

Is that better or worse

I guess so he could start work in the close season, secured against next years money.

very short term, so no big deal.
