This team will be very close to the starting eleven versus Bristol City next week I would expect.

Pantilimon; Darikwa, Dawson, Fox, Osborn; Colback, Guedioura; Goncalves, Carvalho, Dias; Murphy. Subs: Smith, Figueiredo, Worrall, Robinson, Yates, Watson, Bridcutt, Lam, Lolley, Soudani, Grabban, Cash, Brereton.

Very disappointed with the stadium makeover to be honest.

Good summary, Monkey.

Guedioura also deserves a special mention.

Would anyone leave out Danny Fox next Saturday after that display?

Fox isn’t really putting a foot wrong at the moment. It is is his shirt to lose. I can’t see Karanka not starting him. Full credit to him, he has stickability as he was the crowd’s whipping boy. I was quite disparaging of him in previous seasons and am happy to eat my words.

What’s wrong with it?

I think Fox will start Red. Figs and Worrall a run-out against Bury and slowly easing them in. Depends how well they do when they kick off for real. Darikwa on one side. Osborn on the other, as Robinson is bought in the same way.

Feels like it will be Geddy and Colback / Yates in midfield. AK's not played Watson as much in the friendlies.

On the wings then Goncalves and Cash / Dias.

Carvalho sitting behind Grabban, as surely Murphy is just basking in the shop window.

Behind it all, Pants.

A great pre-season.

Will, I would have used less space for the trophy wins. Use the space saved for the Garibadi quote and reference to those who helped win trophies : Sam Weller Widdowson, the Forman brothers, Billy Walker, Wally Ardron, Jack Burkitt, Johnny Carey, Joe Baker etc etc.

What we have now though is a massive improvement and I am grateful for everything the new regime is doing for the club

Good points. There is plenty of history pre-1975 that was important in growing Forest as a club that the whole of Nottinghamshire are proud of. I reckon they could change it year on year as these displays are now relatively easy to produce. The owners and Randall appear very open to engagement with the supporters in a positive way.

Can’t really fault them as I can’t recall owners at Forest being so willing to listen and act on supporter’s suggestions in all of my time folk sing the Reds. They are changing people’s perceptions of the club, both amongst those who support and those who don’t. After years of neglect under Al Hasawi, it seems to good to be true.

Forgot about Guedy.

Played well. For that game he seemed to be that hassling, deep lying play-maker of yester-year. He has consistency issues imo so we'll see in the next few games if he's resolved that. From yesterdays showing hes at least earnt the chance to claim his place.

The midfield has a nice balance with him in it.
