First manager to be sacked will be...Herr Klopp!

If Liverpool are 10 points or more behind City by end of December, I expect Klopp to go.

Klopp has set himself up for this

You expect no manager to be sacked before december?

Jose is as much a cheque book manager as Pep. As in this as an insult against Jose doesn't stack up when you look at other coaches that do the same but don't get it thrown at them. Pep did the same after his first season of realising he needs instant investment in the side.

Klopp is also now doing so, realising that trying to do things as buying bargains gets you a Karius more often than a Robertson.

Where you can argue about Jose, compared to the others, are the type of players he decided to sign and how he made use of them. Style of play is already a given and I don't see that improving. You can also point to his lack of addressing certain areas, but this could also be down to just no getting the players.

I think we'll finish top 4. But it'll be tougher than last year.

Robb believing we haven't for the large part played dull football

His only example is 'most goals per game since SAF left' it's his 'go to' comment every single time

Robb we have been Sheite ever since SAF left and that includes Jose reign. Jose in fact IMO has been the most dull considering the squad he has at his disposal compared to Moyes and LVG
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No. LVG was far more dull.

We have played poor stuff under Jose but strangely no one seems to want to admit we’ve played good stuff too. We actually played some good stuff this past season but all of that gets swept under the rug
=================

Although it didn't happen often, when LvG's measured possession game actually worked - usually against the better sides that wouldn't sit back and provided us a bit of space - the football was significantly better than anything we've seen under Mourinho. Unfortunately that accounts for maybe half a dozen games in two years under LvG, but also with a weaker squad and key players in serious decline (Rooney, RvP).

There was also a brief period at the start of his tenure where the players played with a bit of risk, and players like Di Maria & Herrera gave us a more energetic look in midfield. Gradually that was coached out of the team.

All things considered, I don't think anyone can make a convincing case that Mourinho's team play more entertaining football than LvG's. In fact, I think we might have seen something a little closer to what LvG envisioned his team would do with this set of players; a proper #9, a stronger midfield with more creative options and his ability to get more from the young players (a trait that no one serious can criticise LvG for).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Berba, are you seriously highlighting a brief period of exciting play that was coached out of the team by LVG as a point to support your case that LVG was more entertaining than José?
=======================

The games mentioned in the 1st paragraph came long after LvG had reigned in some of the risk.

Mourinho's most exciting period as United manager also came at the start of each of his seasons, presumably when the players went for it a little more.

I know José isn't getting anywhere near the best out of the squad, but I think he really is providing more entertaining football than LVG.

...............

No idea what you are watching. It is marginally better at best.
