So the wait is over, I’m still here, the Prediction League has been launched from our esteemed Peeder, Spart has made his initial start of the season acerbic comments, Ramseses has been baiting and finally got deleted by a Wolves fan , Vidal has been putting forward his very calm erudite support for Keogh, 666 has been advocating views that some posters continue to bite at and VC10 and others have kept the 606 fire burning throughout the close season. Thank you to all .
But it’s back and good.
Derby go into the new season with a different kind of confidence if you l know what I mean. The arrival of Frank Lampard has been unusual in that there has been no overt opposition to the appointment . Generally it has been accepted that he knows what he is doing, which has been amply demonstrated with the impressive pre-season friendlies against so called superior opposition.
New signings have raised eyebrows, we really do need to shift a few. But the loan signings Mount and Wilson have already made an impact and we hope this continues. One other new signing comes to mind, that Craig Bryson looks promising and may just be what Derby have been missing in the last year.
New feature this year on Match Threads is ‘RAISING THE BAR’. In order to get you feckless posters to think more there will be a debate question(?) to keep Heb and Ang happy in the run up to kick- off. (If they get too difficult, I will lower the bar in subsequent Match Threads - geddit?)

To be fair I was only two at the time.
Anyway those at the lunch included my late Godfather, of the Foreign Office, and von Stalhein, representing the German High Command.
It was a long time ago and much remains classified to this day. I will tell what I can in due course.

Waghorn at the height of his powers would be expensive at £3m.. anything above that, especially with us already perilously close to FFP sanction, would be ridiculous.

Yes! VC10, I don't see the need for another striker with our current squad.. The Leeds gam will be a star test of the team and the manager.

I think you are right there Ramdini. Leeds looked very good and they will be a big test for us, if we beat them I reckon we'll top the league come May.

Leeds always start well. Better to play them later in the season. last time they beat us at Pride Park it was an August game.
