West Bromwich Albion v Bolton Wanderers

87 days has passed since that dramatic last gasp win against Nottingham forest which kept bolton in the championship against all odds. An awful lot has happened in between. A big shake up on the playing side which was needed in all honesty. 12 first team players and 6 loan players have departed and 9 new signings have come in. Things haven't exactly gone to plan with chairman Kens dispute with the players which caused them to go on strike, the catering dispute and a fragmented pre season with the St mirren game being called off and the away game v Morecambe being moved to a behind closed door fixture. Here we are though first game of a new season and a 95 mile trip to the hawthornes to play a West brom side relegated after 7 years in the premier league. Managed by Darren Moore a tough start against one of the favourites for promotion. Team news. To sum up we have a first team squad of 21. Clayton Donaldson is out with a hamstring injury and Marc Wilson isn't up to speed yet. Academy goalkeeping coach Ben Williams has been registered as a player and will sit on the bench until a replacement keeper for Ben Amos is found. Team from Alnwick, Williams, little, olkowski, Darby, wheater, beevers, hobbs, Taylor, Murphy, Lowe, vela, noone, Buckley, ameobi, wildschut, oztumer, LeFondre, megennis, Hall.

It's only one loss boggies don't be too disheartened, at least you have a nice boiler for a mascot
A feckin boiler
OMG

I'm off to bed now but I don't think I'll sleep because I keep seeing a boiler with a pair of legs

Feck me. I had no idea until I saw the video. What the flip were they thinking? Loved the Bolton fans' chants about the mascot, as they cruised to an easy victory.

I'll get started on a special edition zimmer frame. I'll include a rocket-propelled motor on it. That should give him a lift.

I loved the pics of the boiler. I couldn't stop laughing. Some body must have had a bad hair day.

Just noticed the 1* bandit. It must have been a WBA supporter.

now now swie the WBA fans are not a bad lot they were obviously upset but I don't think they are the one star sort.
The boiler was a most cunning marketing plan Ken will not be paying our marketing dept. after seeing what others are capable of ours should have their pay withheld until they deliver a plan which beats Boilerman.

Heads up Benny
You best start drafting the transfer deadline day thread now that Stephen Ireland has tipped back up at Lostock I think he was hiding out in Wingates waiting until PP was smiling.
