The Team, anybody know anything about him ?

from the newspaper
Foot Transfers Monaco
Transfers: Rachid Ghezzal (Monaco) to sign in Leicester
The 03/08/2018 , updated on 03/08/2018 at 23:05
Bilel Ghazi, Regis Testelin, Florent Torchut
Arrived from Lyon a year ago, the offensive midfielder Monaco will engage for four years in Leicester. Other players, on whom the ASM does not count, could quickly emulate it.
A year after his arrival, Rachid Ghezzal is already putting an end to his adventure with AS Monaco. Landed free of Olympique Lyonnais, his training club, in the summer of 2017, the striker (26 years) will join Leicester. After several exchanges in recent weeks, the two clubs have completed yesterday negotiations that will allow the ASM to collect a transfer fee of € 14 million. The former Lyonnais will, him, engage for a period of four years. His arrival was considered a priority by Claude Puel. The French coach Foxes should therefore give him a confidence that the player found only randomly with Leonardo Jardim, the Monegasque coach. Author of two goals and four assists in Ligue 1, Ghezzal n ' was only holder in seven of his twenty-six appearances in the Championship last season. And he had not left to live a very different situation this season. Jardim had not also convened in the group that will play the Champions Trophy against Paris-Saint-Germain, today in Shenzhen (14 hours, French time).

Only know that he is an Algerian forward who has played for Puel before, hence the link.

Didn't have a great time at Monaco.

An underwhelming signing really and probably one that reflects the fact we can’t or aren’t willing to pay the money for Thorgan Hazard who has been the clubs preferred choice.

I’ve seen him a couple of times, not an expert on him by any means but he’s a bit of an Algerian Demarai Gray. Little end product, released by Lyon not really done a great deal for Monaco - would be no loss to them really.

Shaquiri would have been a far safer bet and he blows hot and cold

Don't know an awful lot about him. But can't we at least give the guy a chance before we write him off? Our best signings in recent years have been those that have been understated. Who had heard of Mahrez before we signed him? The bigger names for huge fees have tendered to be those who struggle here. If we're getting him for about £10m, which is what £3m was worth 10 years ago, I think it's worth a gamble. Would still like to see another creative player and a CB before Thursday though.

Nope know nothing about him but, presumably, king Claude does and he feels Gezza can add something to the squad.

At least its another addition to the squad

It was different with Mahrez. We had nothing to lose for £400k and weren’t replacing a key player. N’didi was unknown as well but there was a real buzz before he came in because of how highly rated he is.

This guy isn’t really. Handy player but released by his original club for a reason. Hasn’t really featured for Monaco. Just not sure what he’s going to bring us really but I’m hoping the scouts have seen something special that Monaco and Lyon haven’t

I thought new signings were suppose to be an improvement on what you already have?

N’didi wasn't. We were all excited about him signing and he hadn’t kicked a ball. We didn’t write off Maddison before he signed - we were excited about him and rightly so.

The reason? They had generated a lot of buzz from performances at their respective clubs. This guy hasn’t that’s all we are saying
