Today we will experience a brand of football that has been lacking since the king Carlo's days. It's fair to say that Man City will win this one for obvious reasons. They're coming back after winning the league in style. Pep has a settled experienced squad and this is his third season in the epl. Sarri is new and his squad is in transition of adapting to his philosophy. Unfortunately, whilst this takes time, we will have to accept that CFC may suffer a few bad results early in the season, this is where things stands at the moment.
But if you're going to lose a match, I'd rather see us lose the match going toe to toe with one of the best side in epl if not Europe, than see us lose like we did last season under Conte. Be a loveable losers not a cowardly loser. That said, I do believe that CFC will have a good enough squad to claim the CL spot come end of May next year.

Half expected it, a bit disappointed with this performance, was anticipating a much better performance from us. Take nothing away from Man City though, they looked a lot sharper/fitter (which is understandable, given Man City started their pre season earlier)

Don't see how Chelsea are gonna get top 4 unless Sarri signs a real top player who can lift the squad.

Name which CB you think is better than cahill was around 5 years ago. Christensen and rudiger are decent and with potential, but neither are good enough for a Premier league winning team imo. Luiz looked slow today which is worrying as pace (to rectify his mistakes) was one of his strengths.

I agree. Caballero was by far our best player.
But as others said with hazard and kante back we will be much better.
Hazard up front would be a disaster. With the current team I'd play hazard on the left, Pedro on the right, and willian as our more attacking central mid

Yeah that's the biggest concern atm. Morata has started where he left last season, continuing to disappoint. Also we need a scoring midfielder in place of Barkley/Fabregas aka Lampard type of player.
