Not many points

It's fair to say that if we perform close to that every game at home, we won't be dropping too many points at ER. On and off the ball, we were impeccable. Teams won't fancy playing against a side with mosquito's like Saiz, Pablo dancing around them, with Phillips and Berardi crashing into them, Ayling schooling them and Alioski and Roofe running defenders into the grass. Don't even get me started on Douglas, Bamford, Klich and Jansson!

Will ER a fortress again this season ? It looked that way today.

Comment of the day: If Klich pushed Joe Allen any further back, he'd be in a Liverpool shirt. (BBC)

What's really mental is, Bielsa's only had a short time with the team. He's assessed the squad. Decided who to keep. Who to sell (Ronnie he didn't want sold). And has
them as fit as they've ever been. And implemented the
root beginnings of his philosophy. If it were a tin pot
coach, I'd be thinking it's going to end and maybe crater
at some point soon. But, with King Marcelo, can't help but feel it's going to keep getting better. Shocking.

can't see them being undisciplined under bielsa.

One point, perhaps a little contentious: Bielsa kept Jansson on the bench today.

Does Bielsa think Jansson's just a little too big for his boots and is showing him who's boss?

It didn't seem like we needed him, notwithstanding the appearance of Crouch.

Gobsmacked about everything today. What an opening game!

He’s only been back a week or so, good decision not to play him (I was nervous as hell with Berra at the back)

Obv once he did eff up and he did have a couple of iffy moments but overall was good.

Berardi didn't give Afobe (leagues fav for golden boot) an inch today. He was immense. Deserves to stay in the team as mad as that sounds

Was Forshaw missed you think ?

Cooper was great. That defending for the two on one after Berardi's mistake was nearly orga$mic.

Not one bit today , although he will be a crucial player this season. Would have flourished today no doubt
