I wonder if it’s harder to break through as a youth in defence than attack..

You make a mistake as a youth up top and it’s brushed off. Make a mistake at the back and you have cost the side and people get upset.

There's a decent chance most of these players ask to go out on loan anyway

Probably more so under Jose... And not really having a dig... He doesn't seem to let players in and around the first team squad play in the under 23s

Jose's first season saw TFM as the spare man most weeks... Travelling with the squad but being the one to miss out as sub and sit in the stand... Never kicked a ball for the under 23s the whole year... Bar the experience of training with the first team it was a waste of a year.

They are better off on loan getting games even if not starting every week

Can't have been that crap if they want him back tho m8. He was injured for a spell i think... But was only ever taken as cover for the run in with Terry being a veteran etc

He must have shown something or they wouldn't have re-signed him

I guess Steve Bruce's connections help. He is talented but by all accounts he wasn't great there.

You don’t see the point of him getting regular, competitive football? He’s 20 years old, nearly 21, and has played the grand total of 13 competitive games. A loan is just what he needs at this stage of his development.

When a side like us creates dozens of talented youngsters the only place for them to go is on loan.

He played 5 matches, while on loan to Villa, before being injured. So another loan, this time for a year, should be good.

Villa don't have Terry this time and Championship is of a decent level. I think it's too soon for the PL for him.

I think he's class personally.

If Tuanzebe doesn't make it as at least a very good PL-level player I'll be extremely surprised.
