After much ‘umm’ing and ‘ahh’ing I’ve bitten the bullet and decided to run another Predictions League for the forthcoming season. Sorry it's so late.
The general rules are identical to last season and are as follows:
Predict the results of games in the Premier League. Points for each game are awarded as follows:
1 point – Correct number of goals scored by one team;
3 points – Correct result but neither team's score right;
4 points - Correct result and one team's score right;
7 points – Correct result and both team’s score right.
Matches involving LCFC will score DOUBLE points.
Then the Top 5 for the week receive the following
1st - 25 points
2nd - 15 points
3rd - 10 points
4th - 6 points
5th - 3 points
Season long bonuses for other correct predictions are also available:
100 points – Number LCFC goals (Premier League only) (reduced by 25 for every goal your prediction differs).
50 points – LCFC League position (reduced by 25 for every position your prediction differs from the final table).
25 points – LCFC League position on Christmas Day.
X points - Top Premier League scorer (number of points = number of goals scored).
50 points - Sack Race – Month of Claude Puel’s departure (enter ‘Season’ if you think he’ll stay the course).
I’ll try and introduce some other additional bonuses throughout the season too.
Predictions need to be posted prior to kick off for each game. You have until kick off of the first game of Week 2 to submit predictions for your bonuses.
