I know nowt about him, what I do know is we need fecking central-defenders, and I mean defenders not just one. I'm not convinced about Mina either, going by reports he's clumsy and susceptible to pace. We've got defenders like that already.

So that was 5years ago and he retired to Russia

He was only a youngster when he joined them. Something like 75% of the Shakhtar team is made up of Brazilians and lots of them have gone on to be successful at other clubs.

He might be a bit lightweight for the PL but a gamble worth taking when there’s no transfer fee involved

It’s the 5 year deal that’s not free!
