Arsenal away

Back to that there London again on Sunday for the opener at the emirates for Unai Emery’s baptism of fire post Wenger.
Not much happened during the window for Arsenal, brought in an elderly Swiss defender Lichsteiner, some Greek fella Papastathopolous presumably hoping kids will pay for his name on the shirt and a bang average Uruguayan Torreira to fill up the quota after the demise of Jack the wheelchair.
After the 2 humiliating 3-0 thrashing’s last season I’m looking forward to hopefully the same again and some more abuse on the tube after from the sourfaced chinless toss pots heading back to St Albans

Difficult to gauge City’s Wembley win last weekend as Chelsea were dreadful but at least we looked sharp,in particular Aguero & Bernardo Silva.
DeBruyne & Sterling only just back in training so doubt either will start

Ederson
Walker Stones Laporte Mendy
Fernandinho
Mahrez BSilva Foden Sane
Aguero

Subs. From
Bravo Kompany Otamendi Sterling Gundagon Jesus DeBruyne D Silva Diaz Delph

0-3 Aguero hatrick πŸ‘

With Mendy back in, I'd like to see:

. ........ .Ederson
Walker Stones Otamendi Mendy
.......... .Fernandinho
Mahrez Bernardo Sane
........... Kun Jesus

The pace in there is terrifying.

City will be the most potent attack, by far, that Arsenal will face this season, but Mahrez needs to be a bit sharper than last Sunday and less predictable cutting in onto his left foot. Any news on whether Sane has recovered from whatever knock he took at the weekend.

I hope Sane is not fit to play. He always rips us to shreds

He is always at his best running at people, which given that he is, I believe, the fastest PL player, makes sense. Sometimes he seems to lose confidence and look for the simple pass rather than take the fb on and put the ball across the 6 yard box. However, I have few worries that he will continue his growth and be a truly great player. If we play Mahrez on the other flank he needs to improve from Sunday when he was ok but no more. Arsenal must be the great unknown this season, could come literally anywhere from Top4 to mid table.

Sane against Newcastle last year

Been a funny summer with not much happening transferwise. Think the gooners must be thanking their lucky stars to get this fixture over with early, with the possibility that we aren't quite up to speed. Which I think is thier only hope.

I'm not overly confident, new manager syndrome.

A draw would be decent, don't want to be going straight to the top of the league and staying there from day one.

Would be nice to languish mid table for a short while even only for a bit of nostalgia.

Not playing until day three.
Hopefully no offside goals for you this time.

The pace of the city attack will have that Greek fella on toast.

Imagine that Greek fella facing Liverpool

Origi has him for breakfast a couple of seasons ago in the ropey league, he’s facking pony.

Do arsenal not score offside goals?

Arsenal and Chelsea will be interesting to watch. They could be pushing the Top4 or, together with Spurs, looking over their shoulders at Everton.
