Is It Really As Bad As It Seems?

A CB/RW would have been great. But...

-Martial staying(so far)
-World Cup winner Pogba still here
-Addition of Fred, who may just compliment Pogba in a good way
-More game time for Andreas
-Lukaku has nother season under his belt after a really good World Cup
-Sanchez finally looks sharp, first time in 4/5 years with no summer tournament.

These things may have been overlooked. I feel like we are due to have a better season than last in terms of points. It’s just the playing style holding us back. We have more than enough talent.

I’m not saying we will win the league or get close to it. But let’s see how the first 5 games go I guess.

Can't really tell how we're going to be until the end of the month and the European window closes... Players could still go

Its ok saying Pogba won't be sold, but if he downs tools if Mino starts playing the barca move up... We'll sell imo

Similar with Martial... Stories in the press that jose wants rid but Ed and the board don't want him sold... If Jose freezes him out and starts his sniping etc he could officially ask to leave

Things then look a little bit bleaker

Agree, but it would be suicide to sell/loan Pogba and/or Martial if we can’t bring a replacement in, surely?

Let’s hope Jose and Ed aren’t THAT daft...

The league were daft enough to vote for it while other leagues windows are open

We know how poisonous mino can be... It'll be down to Pogba really... He could force the move by acting up and causing grief behind the scenes

And if Jose freezes Martial out over the baby nonsense... It's quite likely he'd want him gone anyway and abroad is better than to a rival

I'd rather Jose went than both/either... But it can't be ruled out until the European window is over

Jose IMO has started all this negativity

1. With his comments
2. With his repeated style of play

We have as good a midfield group as any in the league bar City. Matic, Pogba, Fred, Herrera, Fellaini and the addition of Perreira
We have some very good attacking players in Lukaku, Sanchez, Rashford and Martial. We also have Mata and Lingard who can do a decent job
We have one of the best keepers in the world. A very promising centre half in Bailly and players who have experienced a number of title challenges.
This group is more the good enough to be the 2nd best again. Unfortunately for the foreseeable city are on on their own. However Jose demeanour, negative comments etc etc just seem to be putting a dampener on everything.
I'm going to try and stay positive and hope Fred is a revelation, Perreira can have that position his own, Martial can hold down a place maybe on the right and Sanchez and Pogba become the players we know they can be. Yes it is all in hope

Exactly this

All the negativity has been magnified from his comments and whining... The majority of fans aren't buying his gurning... If we start badly things will get toxic very quickly

I can`t believe that no one has had a go at your usual number one target: Fellaini.
has he done nothing to upset you so far this pre-season?
What a surprise!.

He's only started training... Give us a chance ffs... Signing his contract was enough to kill most of our enthusiasm for the season ahead

I'm gutted that The big curly headed fellah might be pivotal to our hopes this season? But that's where we find ourselfs? 😭

interesting few weeks ahead. Transfer window was very under-whelming but part of me is glad that we didn't just splash the cash on 30+ year olds that would have added little to the squad. I'm stunned however, that we haven't invested properly in the full back positions. The match versus Bayern was blatant to me how poor our full back options are!!
