Okay, window’s closed - wasn’t great but we regroup and imo we have a decent team to put out tomorrow.
With the injuries stated in the presser today I think this is what we’ll go with.
DDG
Darmian Bailly Smalling Shaw
Fred McT Pereira
Mata Rashford Sanchez
Should hopefully be good enough to get a win and if City drop points on Sunday at a fired up Arsenal then we can chill out from the rabid introspection for a while.
Has Pereira ever played a league game for us?
Leicester fans, what will your team likely be?
Team for tomorrow

Yeah i was thinking he didn’t seem like that type of player from the very limited amount I’d seen.
Can’t wait to see his defence splitting passes tomorrow now

If he does Rob’s gonna be unbearable.

If we go 433 with Fred, McT and Pereira we're there for the taking
Wouldn't surprise me if Jose went 352/532 even though it means Darmian and Shaw as wing backs (even though they're shiiite) and try and grind out a win
Thankfully Puel is even more defensive minded than Jose tho, so will hardly have a go at us

Golo will wreck him one day soon. You'll win 2-0 tomorrow.

I'd rather have McT in the back of the midfield 3, but Jose will play Andreas there because I believe he trusts him more. And Jose puts his best players behind the ball much more these days. It's still a decent 11, but not good enough to get past any Top 4 teams. The Foxes keep selling off their best, so we should have a comfortable, but not an exorbitant 3 points. 1-nil, early goal and a red and blue bus parking war. Am I about right or has my senility kept pace with Jose's?

In fairness an 'eye for a defence splitting pass' doesn't relate to assists directly. From what I've seen of Fred (not that much) he does seem to like to receive the ball on the turn and break forward as much as possible, and has got a good forward pass on him, which tends to be the assist to the assist, so he could be playing the likes of Sanchez or Rashford in through the defence who can then feed Lukaku or cut it back.
That's the dream anyway
He's probably going to be watching the ball go over his head from Smalling to Fellaini more often than that though

On paper it should be a straightforward win for United at home. In reality though, neither team will be fully match fit yet and it will likely play out more like a pre-season friendly. Damp squib of a game, 0-0

Na, I’m going for the same way you lot kicked off last season at Arsenal.
Hopefully you win this one!

Ha! That was when we were a counter attacking side under Shakespeare. We’ve now turned into a boring possession based sideways passing team!
