im confused...

people keep telling me that without investing in the team then we will only regress-ok i accept that but this season we have invested heavily financially in the team, and people are telling me that we cant compete as we havent the stability of spurs right now(who have invested nothing in their team...thought that didnt work!). may of the experts say we havent done enough to get back in the top four but we have bought or loaned 2 exceptional midfielders we have hired a top coach, got that snake out of the team. CHO has had a fantastic preseason.
Why have we no chance to compete with utd who havent invested that much either or why wont Everton overtake us all as they have bought an entire team.
