Bakayoko confirmed loan move to AC Milan, hope they keep him permanently. With him gone, hopefully Kovavic can do well for us and we can secure him on a permanent basis.
Can't think of a good game Bakayoko had for us in a Chelsea shirt, anyway, good riddance to bad rubbish. Hope he does well on loan at AC, so he doesn't come back.

Bakayoko to AC

Nick was he a Conte recommended signing or the board? I have never quite been able to conclusively find out one way or the other. Whoever it was should fall on their sword.

I have literally heard nobody call him inspector gadget once, at games or on here
He had a half decent but laboured performance against spurs and that was it. Woeful in his other 30 odd appearances. Worst player i've seen at the club.

Nah, Slavisa Jokanovic.
There’s a player in Bakayoko somewhere he just strikes me as someone who has been used to being able to bully his way through games without much technical ability and couldn’t adjust to the pace of the PL. He did have a few decent games for us (Huddersfield away stands out) but when he was bad, he was absolutely atrocious.

Haha I said half way through this season that he'd overtaken jokanovic on my books. Jokanovic done a nice lob which struck the crossbar once. So gave him the edge.
Summer, word on the block last year was that he was a conte signing.

He must have been a Conte signing as he continued to play him week in week out.

I did hear this myself but was never sure.
That explains why the caant kept getting picked, when it was obvious to all and sundry, that he was bringing fack-all to the Party. Willian and Hazard kept getting hooked at 69 minutes or so and that caant was still out there. It always makes me laugh how managers persist with someone who clearly isn't cutting it, just because they bought them and admitting he's shi it would just reflect badly on their judgement, so instead we all have to watch them while they try to pull the wool over our eyes and just persist in flogging a dead horse.

I feel a similar thing is happening with Morata, we'll continue to persist with him but I'm hoping he can become good.

Funny thing last year was bakayoko was being played around by our own team, people just stopped giving him in the ball in the end. Was quite awkward to watch at times.

Yeah, I think we're all deluding ourselves on that one but unless he develops some determination/aggression into his game, that won't be happening either. Hope I am proved wrong but I fear not.

Agreed. I've heard a few comments like "he just needs a goal" etc but he needs an entire rethink to his approach to English football. Sadly if preseason is anything to go by he hasn't made any changes whatsoever.
I actually fear he'll end up with even less PL goals than last season and will probably lose his place to Giroud sooner rather than later.
