One of the rare prequels that is better than the original?
I think so. This week had one of the best pieces of acting I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen more movies than Sanchez has misplaced passes).
When Jimmy went for the sales job interview at the photocopier place I was witnessing an absolutely incredible actor delivering absolutely incredible lines written for him.
Anyone else love the show?
Better Call Saul

I haven’t Arab, is it on Netflix?

Yeah, you’ll love it. Season two is gonna drop at the end of this month. Jason Bateman smashes it.

Might wait for season 2 to finish so I can binge watch it. Still have Power and BCS to watch for now

Had this discussion a million times with Robb. It does not even compare to Breaking Bad. The show is called Better Call Saul but the whole storyline surrounding Saul (Jimmy) is so worn out and tiring that it is no longer interesting. Yea that scene where he got those guys to hire him but what does it actually contribute to the show or storyline? Absolutely nothing, it’s just complete filler when they think of another boring dragged out storyline to come up with.
The only good thing in BCS is Gus and the Salamanca storyline
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you don’t think that storyline contributed anything to the plot or his character development then it’s pribabl best you stop watching now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why don’t you explain it instead of tripping over your words
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He sabotaged his own job opportunity because he didn’t want the mundane existence of a normal job. He instead decided to rope Mike into stealing the statue that was worth thousands of dollars. It’s a massive step to becoming Saul.

I think Netflix are gonna drop all the episodes in one go, they did it with the first season last year. But definitely watch it, I’m rewatching it again so my memory is refreshed for the new season.

Nope doesn’t make sense. He walked out and then turned around and gave his spiel about why they should hire him there and then. At that stage he had already seen that toy thing so there was no reason for him to go back. Like I said the scene was pointless

I will say though, I am finding the pace a bit slow this season, more so than other seasons. The whole thing with the guy losing his security pass and then Mike going round the company and its warehouse took far too long to explain/work out what was going on. Also we don’t know why he’s doing it. Is he auditioning for a bigger role in Fring’s organisation that we know he’ll eventually get?

Disagree. He was having an inner dialogue about the best thing to do, i.e tread the straight and narrow path or go towards the dark side. It was literally at the point he berated those two guys that he decided he didn’t want the job. Until that point he didn’t know himself. And with his spiel about hiring him he was probably just making sure he still had the gift of the gab, could still persuade people. Highly important scene.

It's so rubbish, reall really tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but it just never took off

Thought the end of the latest episode moved a bit closer to breaking bad, Gustavo Fring back story is worth a show in itself.
Reminded me of that scene where he slices the guys neck open when he puts a bag over Arturo's head and we have to watch him suffocate in that pretty graphical way.
