Knocking Man Utd off their perch

Pep steals a famous fergie line

"With Alex Ferguson they won every season."

β€œI think that my biggest challenge as a manager was to change that."

He is aware Fergie was long gone when he took over...?

We literally threw ourselves off our own perch haha

But yeah sure Pep, you ended our dynasty.

i expect this level of egomania from our manager not him ha

I blame LvG and Jose for keeping him on though, especially Jose, giving him a new contract.

...................

To me that was inexcusable from Jose. I am sure he did that just to wind up the fans.

I was watching the game with my Mrs on Friday and when she saw him warming up to come on, she went straight upstairs because she knew it would set me off on one.

Id play Fellaini only as a plan B second striker like Belgium did in the World Cup a couple of times. When they were desperate, basically.

they started him in central midfield against Brazil and he bossed it

It’s a myth he isn’t any good on the ball or that he has to only be a plan b substitute

Some people are so limited in their concept of the outer world on this site. Sad to see

The outer world?? What the heck are you blabbering on about...

I thought Belgium were lucky in that game tbh, Brazil should have scored a couple. Fellaini was ok, but he was part of the reason Brazil were able to get past Meunier. Think some people need to watch that game back.

The pre season optimism took a major hit when it was announced fellaini was staying. Jose's subsequent antics really put paid to it

Not only did we keep the big donkey, Fellaini made us wait to make a decision!

Imagine we lost him and only signed the players we have so far- mourinho will be in meltodown mode already

OP/Pep is talking utter balkacks.

United have hardly been fighting for tge title any year since SAF apart from last season. They simply dropped levels and a few teams overtook them.

That would be the OP then.

Sadly for Moyes, he did not help himself. He pretty much did everything to set himself up to fail.

1. He got rid of some of the back room staff that he should have kept on. His choice of No. 2 was diabolical to say the least.

2. He took way too long to assess the squad. he wasn't new to the league and had plotted against us as Everton manager. He knew what our weaknesses were.

3. Groot. No more need be said.

4. Suffered from the small man at big club complex.

Very well put. And that is just analysing some of the problems, albeit the bigger ones.
