Team Vs Palace.

Its an early test for us, a proper early season tricky match. Away from home under the floodlight after everyone else has played, intimidating atmosphere...win this comfortably and belief can only be reinforced.

I admit I didn’t watch the game but from reports Palace were fortunate to beat Fulham. Or at the very least they were second best for large portions of the game.

I appreciate that Palace have been a problem side for us recently but even so, if we have any aspirations of challenging City for the title then we’ve got to be confident about an away match at a lower mid-table side surely?

They (allegedly) had a deal with the club to move from the corner to behind the goal this season but the club reneged. Either way they'll be a miss for us.

As for the game, 2-0/3-1 Liv but if we give Salah and co as many chances as we gave Fulham then it'll be a proper humping!

I remember Benteke giving Matip a horrid time with Zaha giving all sorts of problems. If Fabinho is to play he'll have his hands full on Benteke.


Not entirely convinced Gomez is the long term answer. He has schoolboy mistakes in him and isn't particularly good in the air.

I think LFC will be so stromg this season, I dont think palace etc can handle them. I expect if we haven't scored then klopp can bring on Sturridge, he can also bring on Lallana and Shaqiri as well as Clyne or Fabinho.

That's the difference, and its a huge difference to last year. Massive. I reckon we will win many games by 3, 4 and 5 goals this season.

With Alisson, VVD, Robertson and Keita palace will find it hard to break through in open play.
