Took a trip down to WHL today to

check out the new ground, and whilst it looks an absolute beast of a stadium, it does not have a cat in hells chance of being finished this side of Xmas, if the truth be told. May not in my humble opinion be finished this side of Easter.

There is still so much work to be completed, especially on the Worcester Avenue/Park Lane corner of the ground. Park Lane itself looks like a building side, with half finished stairways, and building material everywhere. I was chatting to a couple of drivers down there delivering electrical gear, and they have been told to keep delivering for the next three months minimum.

It was always an ambitious project to get this stadium delivered as per the schedule, and I hope I have not upset too many supporters with the news of the update straight from the horses mouth, so to say, but I have to say I think Spurs will be playing I reckon most of their games this season at Wembley.

Anyway onwards and upwards as they say, the stadium when complete will be magnificent, and be in operation for a 100 years or so, not that I will be around. Although on reflection in a 100 years time I doubt any of us will.

I did show my commitment to the club though, I popped in the Spurs shop on the High Road, and purchased a Spurs Pen for £3. Every little helps, so to say.

PS Just to let you know Tottenham High Road has not changed, a geezer was having a squirt in full view of everybody on the High Road, then he had the cheek to ask me if I could give him 20p.

And today’s update by ‘construction expert’ sandy is....

I am about the only one that has got this right. Most of you were expecting to be sitting in your seats by now. Don`t mock the righteous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How quickly a stadium is being built cannot be worked out from the outside.

'throw enough sh*t and some will stick' sums up the prediction record
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well of course it can, if the outside is not finished, then the stadium is not finished. Pretty simple really.

Sandy Tbf you just say the opposite to everyone else.

Most > wont win the title - Sandy > will win

Most > Will sign someone - Sandy > won’t

Most > stadium to be ready - Sandy > won’t

Most > don’t want manager sacked - Sandy > does

Etc etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don`t want the manager sacked. Don`t tell porkies. Last season I said he had to up his game. This season is a different season, so all is forgiven.

I have been absolutely correct on two of those. I said Spurs wouldn't sign anybody, and they didn`t. And I said the stadium would not be ready, and it isn`t. Winning the title will be not known until May.

So it seems I have been a bit more correct than most on here, including yourself.

Well I won`t be. Why would I call for somebody`s head who is going to deliver the title? Doesn`t make any sense.

Decent update Sandy. If there are further delays, the Season Ticket issue really will be a mess. Will fans get the option of a refund for each game they don't want to attend at Wembley?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes I think the club will have to pay any fan any money back, they cannot be forced to attend Wembley. The brought their ticket to watch football at WHL, so deserve if anything a bit on top of what the match would have cost at WHL as a way of showing a bit of understanding about the situation. Compensation should be the norm.

As I say I reckon most of the season will be at Wembley, and although there were hundreds of workers down there this morning, you still cannot see this physically being completed anytime soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sandy, I work for a big Construction firm (Laing O'Rourke), so hear a fair bit about the project as a couple of our big competitors are delivering the project.

Apparently there are 3,800 workers on site at the moment. Mental.

Sounds about the same as youll get for homegames anyway.
