Kieran Trippier stunning free kick.
The WC shows this was no fluke. We have our free kick specialist!

Lovely free-kick, but his crossing yesterday was worse than awful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't that bad. You're making it sound like it was going into row Z or out for throw ins. The crosses were into the area, but he could have done with being more accurate.

Sorry mate, but with the freedom of the right flank of Wembley, especially first half. His crossing and his lack of ability to beat any players, was very, very poor. He had all the time in the world most time to deliver a half decent ball, and each and every time he failed. I could understand the odd cross that went a bit awry, but every cross was poor. Compare that last week to Aurier, who whipped in three beautiful balls, one of which led to the winner.

Said to my Lad at HT that I thought Tripps still believed the WC love in and talk of Real , so much space first half and yet rushed every cross so much that it failed to find anyone

The only thing that frustrates me is his lack of pace, alertness and defensive recovery.

Bloody Hell!

Definately the difference maker yesterday with his free kick.
I'm liking that we come away with 3 points from games like this, this season.
Last year I think we dropped points against Swansea under similar circumstances!
Still think we're in the scrap from 3rd to 6th but if we can open the season with a draw vs Utd and a couple more wins then we've had an awesome start!

This team/squad is now reaching its peak, so I am expecting a lot more than 3rd. That has been the target last few years. Not any more, have to be aiming a lot higher. If teams like Liverpool and Man United think they are in with a shout for the title, then this Tottenham team with all its world cup players should be as well.

Nah Trippier crossing was shocking yesterday and and of his few successful attempts they weren’t dangerous - an example being that overhit cross which Kane did well to get anything on and then Davies created the chance for Moura.
He also was afforded so much space all game but you could tell he wasn’t playing well as both Dier and Alderweirled were reluctant to play him through and opted to cross themselves. Eriksen also went apesheite at Trippier for their goal.
It doesn’t matter really, his delivery when given space is typically good and it’s his first game back so I don’t feel you can take much from it.
