He's not an elite club manager. His style is suited to noisy come ups

Interesting point. Certainly valid at Porto, to an extent valid when he joined Chelsea. They'd won a lot but they were not title challengers in the PL era until Mourinho. Inter weren't at their best when he took over.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Utd also were not at their best when he joined
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nor were Madrid for that matter. He made them relevant again in the CL

Yes, it works great and it's pragmatic at first but philosophy and ethos of the biggest clubs don't change overnight. It's short-term desperation, and the hope is that Mo will adjust to the traditions and expectations of the club, which he simply cannot do. Mo is the type of manager that manages for Mo. Elite clubs want managers that manage for the club and see themselves as a servant to the club and the fans.

It's a strange one, He had players running through brick walls for him.

I think the modern player and his methods don't really run parallel with each other.

I don't think there's any doubt this should be his team now, he's had 5 transfer windows.

Utd need a style of play.

Jose needs to buckle up his ideas if he wants to continue managing in this level. His methods are a bit outdated

I always say it went down hill from his second season with us. The 1st season he moulded the team and made us play some amazing football, and he had a very cavalier approach, and it worked. After that he started to become cautious, and his tactics went from trying to win to try not to lose.

Busted flush. An egomaniac who in his head became more important than any club he managed, the architect of his own downfall, a selfish, neurotic, paranoid control freak, a lost mind, a negative dinosaur, an excuse making voyeur. Nice hair though.
