Date: Saturday 25th August
Venue: Molineux
Kick-off: 12.30
It was Jimmy Greaves that said football is a funny old game and Wolves are currently doing their best to prove him right.
A week ago they played Everton at Molineux. After a nervous performance full of misplaced passes and simple mistakes, Nuno’s team finished with a point having matched the established Premier League side throughout the game.
Last Saturday, they travelled to Leicester where they had more possession, more shots. more shots on target, more corners, less fouls and had the last touch on two goals but still came away with nothing.
Manchester City have started the season with wins against Arsenal and Huddersfield scoring 8 goals in the process. Despite the injury to star midfielder Kevin de Bruyne ruling him out, only the most optimistic of Wolves fans would expect their team to get anything from this game.
Wolves welcome Manchester City to Molineux and although Nuno will send out his wolfpack to put in a workmanlike and spirited performance, it is hard to imagine anything other than a damage limitation exercise after City’s demolition job on Huddersfield.
Gem’s prediction 1-4

Nuno has not lost two league games in a row as Wolves manager. 6 of the 7 losses we had last season were followed with a win the next game.
A record about to be lost?

Just hope we are good enough to give City a run for their money. Worst scenario is that City get a couple of early goals then just need to go through the motions. If Wolves are still ‘in the game’ at the hour mark then at least it will have been worth watching and who knows

We'll certainly need a bit more luck on our side than we had last week, lets hope that evens out quickly.
Just hope we can keep it respectable, we sat deep and hit them on the counter very well last season at their place in the league cup and despite there being different personnel on the field tomorrow I think we'll see a similar game.

Every game is winnable and this one will be no different, provided the players don't go out with a defeatist attitude. No doubt we're the underdogs, but if the lads go out and play their own game, we could certainly get something out of this match.

Can't say i am fussed what happens to any of them mentioned in that article other than Eno who i think would be best served with a solid loan to the championship

Pulis shows them what they have lost. Almost inevitable.
