Bolton Wanderers v Birmingham City

Two of last seasons mini league meet at the uobs in an 8pm kick off as 7th play 18th. Bolton looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season face their bogy team. Birmingham have won the last 3 fixtures at the macron(as it was then) 1-0 so maybe a stadium name change will bring luck. Team news. Ameobi and Buckley are carrying injuries. No news yet if they are out of tonights match yet. Jonathan grounds is ineligible to play against his parent club. No other injuries so my guess is one change, wildschut for Buckley. The match is on sky red button tonight so guess that will affect the crowd. Also the 3rd kit is now out to buy.

Alnwick & Pawel by far the best players on the pitch last night Parkys tactics were again on view , when the opposition have a corner leave one player on the half way line and they have to leave it least two with him so less pressure on our defence, let’s have pass and move in training this week.we got away with it last night
So need to improve Saturday. Very good result and three points.

Good job we have two weeks off after the Preston game at home on the 1st Sept. Shame for Josh he'll have to work while the rest take another mini booze cruise.

Ten points from 12 is a phenomenal effort by the group and firmly emphasises not only the quality and strength in depth we have at our disposal.

The above is a small part of Ken's marketing bulletin which can be viewed by following Pasty's link.

Although he mentions further down in his in his bulletin that we are still looking for a striker, I wouldn't like him to think we can avoid signing another striker because we, as he says, we have strength in depth. In my opinion, another good striker is essential.

If Ken’s says he’s looking for a striker I believe him,
You would think by now people would trust the guy. 😉

Do the players whose wages didn't reach their bank accounts trust him?

I hope he is looking for a striker. I'm not saying he isn't but when it comes to money there have been a few pointers to say that we can't always take what he says as gospel.

Having said that he has sorted the clubs finances out to a great extent and I believe we are on the right track with the squad. All in all, I believe he is doing a decent job. Long may it continue.

Have we just missed out on Barnsley striker,
Tom Bradshaw who as just signed for Millwall.

I didn't know we were in for him. Perhaps little Lee is still sat on the naughty step.
