From what little ive seen of Gerrard's Rangers he seems more pragmatic and likes to be solid at the back (feel free to correct me if im wrong Ronald) whereas Lamps seems to be high tempo pressing and possession, which is quite ironic given how much he resisted that style as a player.

Stevie has been leading most games whereas Lampard has been having to chase most games (unsuccessfully) so its easy to make that mistake.

That is true Naby but at the same time Lamps was also playing that style in pre season (you can't take much from results pre season but you defiantly can performances imo) and they were relentlessly chasing the win at Reading (most managers outside elite teams accept points away from home all day long).

Managers seeking promotion don't easily accept away draws IMO.

You also must consider the level of football. Mixing it in the Europa league you must be a team with that nous. Derby would probably get raped at that level playing like that, so they play like that because they can and it works for their level where they are expected by everyone to be the team that dominates and pushes, but it doesn't in anyway indicate what you say IMO.

Also, the manner of Derby's failings so far is alarming to me and if they don't fix it (especially away from home) they might not achieve their targets IMO.
