This is all rather confusing....
The other week Boyata said he wasn’t fit. Carrying a back injury he said and made himself unavailable for the crucial CL tie against AEK
Rodgers called him out publicly and said he was fit. Had basically downed tools
Now Boyata hasn’t travelled for Sudova game. Rodgers says he’s not fit. Carrying an injury !
So .. was Rodgers lying ? Was Boyata injured after all. Either way, Boyata not traveling is another public humiliation for Rodgers over this saga.
Clearly Boyate doesn’t want to play for Celtic anymore. His value has dropped through the floor with the news of unrest in the camp and his ability to sign a pre- in January.
Couple this with the multiple failed attempts of Rodgers to find any sort of replacement it’s not a good time for Rodgers personally. Luckily for him, the press are on side and not creating the usual mischief they like to when they scent blood
From our perspective any sort of disharmony in the Celtic camp is good news, providing we can keep the momentum going it keeps the spotlight and the pressure firmly on Celtic as we go about our buisiness
1st Old Firm game of the season becomes a massive game. We win and the pressure cranks up on Rodgers and Celtic massively. Celtic win and it’s a reality check and the spotlight and pressure shifts to us.
Infact it’s a massive couple of weeks for both clubs to secure EL football and get the first psychological advantage of the season with the OF match.
I’m looking forward to it. We’re looking physically and mentally strong. We’re building momentum. There’s a confidence building about the place. Not misplaced either. But we all know how quickly that can change in football..
Let’s go 🔴⚪️🔵

If you lose that game will the Ibrox game also be a free hit?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not for me it won’t. Playing at Ibrox is different. We have to be better there. And winning against Celtic there will be expected imo.
But the 1st OF game is indicative of where both clubs are st this season. All the pressure is on Celtic

Good we need the pressure. Been too easy lately.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have received a major boost in the race to sign Celtic centre-back Dedryck Boyata.
The two Istanbul clubs have been closely linked with a move for the Belgium international in recent weeks.
