Good pubs/bars in Birmingham

Early start as i have my sis inlaws wedding in Birmingham today.
Not going to get home by match time so have decided to stay over with the family at the Hyatt.
Haven't stayed in Birmingham for years so can't remember where the good pubs/bars are for watching the match.
Any recommendations much appreciated

It's a 5hithole. Lock the doors and stay inside.

There aren’t any. Birmingham is an absolute toilet of a place.

Anyone who hasn't had an amazing night out in Birmingham must be some kind of total Stretty.

It's ram packed full of bars, hot chicks and the people are generally good humoured.

There's a nice pub opposite the Sea-Life Centre on the canal. Does nice beer!

There's a few cracking bars but they require a 70 minute train journey down to London.

Walkabout is usually good for the football, big screen and usually busy (shame it's mostly Aussie beer). Not that many places actually show the games on the main streets.

But walkabout is next to Brindley Place & Broad Street, which are good for a few beers after if you're looking to make a night of it.

Great night out Birmingham btw, only a 20 minute train away for me.

The centre is brilliant, dunno why anybody would call it a dive.

Lazy stereotype, i guess.

The place has been transformed over the last 20 years (like most cities) and has some great bars and restaurants (like most cities).

Anyone who can't have a great time in brum will struggle to have a great time in any city.

Broad Street is a warzone, full of muppets that can't handle their drink avoid it like the plague!
Jump on the train at New Street and go to Worcester instead a much nicer, friendlier place!

Never had a problem in broad Street, although it isn't in favourite part of town.
